FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH GOGETTA?

The GoGetta brand is still in business and operational, however it will be undergoing a wind down transition over the next 12-18 months.

Therefore as from Monday 26 February, GoGetta will not be accepting any new applications for equipment and asset rentals.

We will be continuing operations with a core team to manage our current customer base. We are committed to providing you with exceptional customer service and care until the end of your contract with GoGetta.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY CONTRACT?

GoGetta is still open and operational, so your contract is valid and you are bound by its terms. If you have equipment on a Rent.Grow.Own agreement, then you are liable for the rental payments for the remainder of the term.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS MOVING FORWARD WITH MY EQUIPMENT?

You have five key options with your equipment that you can take up at any time. They are:

  1. Continue renting as you are now – therefore there are no changes to the current structure

  2. Pay out the equipment – we can provide you with a quote, and upon receipt of the funds, we will release the PPSR on the asset/s so you own it outright.

  3. Sell the equipment to someone else – you can have someone purchase the asset on your behalf. We will provide the payout quote and then your buyer can pay us directly. Upon receipt of the funds, we will release the PPSR on the asset/s so they own it outright.

  4. Refinance the equipment – you are more than welcome to refinance the asset if you wish, and we can help you with this process. We will provide you with a contract statement to make this as easy as possible for you.

  5. Return the equipment – let us know if you would like to return the equipment and we will send you the instructions on how to do this.

CAN I SELL MY EQUIPMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE?

Yes, absolutely. You can have someone purchase the asset on your behalf. We will provide the payout quote and then your buyer can pay us directly. Upon receipt of the funds, we will release the PPSR on the asset/s so they own it outright.

WHEN WILL YOU RELEASE THE PPSR ON MY EQUIPMENT?

Regardless of whether you purchase the equipment, sell the equipment to someone else or refinance the asset, once the paperwork has been completed and we receipt the funds, we will release the PPSR.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ME IF I HAVE A GO.OWN.PLUS CONTRACT WITH GOGETTA?

GoGetta is still open and operational, so your contract is valid and you are bound by its terms. If you have equipment on a Go.Own.Plus agreement, then you are still liable for the payments for the remainder of the term.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I SELL MY BUSINESS?

If you decide to sell your business, we can simply reassign your contract to the new business owner. Give us a call to ask how.

WHAT IS THE INTEREST RATE?

As GoGetta’s finance solutions are rental products, there is no interest rate. Furthermore, unlike a bank loan or other traditional funding option, all weekly payments are 100% tax deductable*.

LOOKING AFTER THE VEHICLE OR EQUIPMENT

Each new piece of commercial equipment comes with a manufacturer’s warranty, which is passed on to you. Some second-hand assets may also come with a warranty; this too will be passed on to you.

Once the warranty has expired, then as with any other finance package, you are responsible for any repair or maintenance costs.

WHO INSURES AND REGISTERS THE EQUIPMENT?

You must comprehensively insure the equipment or vehicle before taking receipt of it. Most insurance companies offer temporary insurance (a ‘cover note’) to protect you while you arrange permanent cover. Your rental agreement with GoGetta will take effect only after you have provided us with an insurance certificate for the vehicle or equipment. Registration of the vehicle is also your responsibility and must be in your name.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND RUNNING COSTS?

Equipment maintenance, insurance and registration are the responsibility of the contract holder.
